Abdullah Daudi is an Ismaili artist with a deep passion for painting, drawing and sketching. Originally from Afghanistan and now residing in New Delhi since 2017, Abdullah’s artistic journey led him to pursue a six-month diploma course in art at the Delhi College of Art.

His love for painting and drawing blossomed at an early age, serving as a source of pure joy for him. This creative outlet allows him to unleash his artistic imagination, transforming blank canvases and paper into vibrant works of art that aim to elicit emotions and thoughts in those who observe them.

Throughout his artistic explorations, Abdullah has dabbled in various mediums, but it’s oil painting that holds a special place in his heart. It’s in this medium that he finds the most enjoyment and fulfilment.

He extends heartfelt gratitude to Taniya Dharani and Artany Gallery for providing him with an incredible opportunity to be featured in their remarkable artists’ magazine. Through this experience, he had the privilege of meeting outstanding Ismaili artists such as Nizar MacNojia and Zainab Khuwaja. Nizar has guided him in refining his techniques, delving into aspects such as rendering, abstract art, and the importance of colour contrast. He also shared insights about famous artists and how their elements could influence Abdullah’s work.

Additionally, Abdullah had the pleasure of learning from Zainab Khuwaja, who emphasized the value of incorporating calligraphy into his art, helping him refine his own writing style and encouraging daily sketching. She shed light on the significance of social media for artists, providing valuable insights.

Abdullah expresses deep gratitude for the opportunity to connect with such amazing artists and mentors who have played a pivotal role in his artistic journey.
