Boris considered many different names for this painting, but decided on Ray of Hope because it contains purity, kindness, beauty, love, life, time, chance, innocence, courage, tolerance, calmness, salvation, future and even legacy… He hopes the Ray of Hope will free us from the darkness of these difficult temporary times: when life itself loses its taste and meaning, when the closest people around us become hopeless, when every day people get up in the morning and start fighting for their lives, for health, for dreams, for love, for survival, for the future.
He wants hope to be remembered when we put in the maximum, try our best to do everything according to plan without shattering the self – and yet nothing changes; when the soul is torn into thousands of pieces, when we are afraid to dream, think, live; when the hands let go of powerlessness without knowing how else to act; when darkness takes over us; when the soul begins to empty and fill with darkness; when the light begins to go out at the end of the tunnel; when nothing changes and we are no longer able to change anything; when all we can do is hope. Hope for something more, for something supernatural, for a miracle.
Boris wanted this picture to tell everyone that there is still a chance for salvation; there is still a road that will lead us to the right path; there is still hope for the world. He believes there is always a ray of hope when we find ourselves in a hopeless situation, and this ray restores light in the soul. When we look into these innocent eyes and the smiles of this little angel, the soul becomes calm, and a feeling of warmth and inner peace enters.
This passing year has brought a lot of trouble and dark days, but he believes that life still goes on and will go on as long as we believe, as long as we feel and wait for good days, as long as there is a ray of hope!
