"With each stroke, I express a Zen sense of calm through Zentangle, aiming to share serenity with my audience."

Rozina makes use of a unique Zentangle style in her pen drawings that involves collaborating many different patterns and designs to create a beautiful art piece. The term Zentangle comes from the words Zen (the Buddhist meditative philosophy for balancing the mind) and tangle. Every time Rozina draws, she expresses her sense of calm, or Zen, that arises from the flow of her pen. She feels that serenity is what her audience should experience, and that is the aim of her art practice.

However, her drawings portray a deeper understanding of the patterns (or tangles) being represented as humans in her own interpretation.  For example, one pattern in her artwork would not conceal another; rather, it would increase exposure, much like how individuals support and promote each other’s growth. Furthermore, the concept of fusing together all the various and distinctive patterns and designs results in a stunning finished artwork that would not have been possible to create if one pattern had been missing. As many of us know, there are occasions when working together can be far more advantageous than working alone. Rozina purposefully does this to highlight the value of cooperation and teamwork.

She also offers the view that each pattern is a manifestation of God’s created nature that combines to build a stunning world, or in this instance, a “unique art piece.”

Rozina’s art is a beautiful blend of finding peace, celebrating human connections, and appreciating the beauty of our world. It’s an invitation to discover solace, inspiration, and harmony in her intricate designs – a visual story of inner peace, togetherness, and the wonders of nature.

The adored God Lord Ganesh is cleverly hidden with a fine pen of complex patterns and designs in this fascinating Zentangle artwork. Your eyes are attracted into a beautiful dance of lines, curves, and shapes as you look at the artwork, which progressively reveals Lord Ganesh’s magnificent form. His calm face pops out from the maze-like designs, and his elephant head and other unique characteristics blend in perfectly with the Zentangle arrangement. The word Om is also featured in the artwork which is defined to be the primordial sound of creation.

A Zentangle Safari is a visually intricate and thought-provoking pen drawing in black and white that conveys the theme of care and our responsibility as stewards of nature. Within its complex patterns and lines, hidden animals symbolize the often overlooked spirit of the wild, inviting viewers to engage actively with the artwork, mirroring the effort needed to protect the environment. The artwork prompts introspection about our role in nature’s caretaking, emphasizing the impact of our actions. It ultimately encourages viewers to recognize the hidden beauty in the world and the potential for positive change, inspiring wonder, action, and a sense of responsibility in preserving our planet.
